GOAT YOGA

Goat Yoga Explained....

Q: "What should I bring to this event?"
A: "Nothing. We've got you covered!"

Q: "I've never done yoga before. Does that matter?"
A: "Not at all. This event is 80% goat and 20% yoga."

Q: "Are the goats babies or full grown?"
A: "Although they range in size, they are all still babies ranging from 3 weeks to 6 months old. They are small enough to easily jump on your back and be picked up. And they don't have horns."

Q: "What type of yoga is done?"
A: "The yoga that we do is just simple stretching. We also practice a few cool poses with the goats as they LOVE to climb on people."

Q: "Can children attend?"
A: "Yes! We only ask that kids are old enough to know they can stand up if they don't like the goats climbing on them. We want everyone to enjoy these events as much as we do."

Q: "Can we feed the goats?"
A: "Yes. After each class, everyone gets a bag of goat feed so they can hand feed the goats. We also have a basket full of greens (leaves, vines, etc.) that you can feed the goats as well."

Q: "I've researched yoga online and I'm concerned about the religious aspect. Do you do anything other than yoga during the class?"
A: "NO. During these events, and ALL my yoga classes, we only do simple stretches. We do NOT chant, we do NOT discuss chakras, we do NOT say 'Namaste', we do NOT treat this as a religion, etc. This is Goat Yoga.... try not to take it too seriously.

Q: "Where does the actual event take place?"
A: "In cooler weather, we can go out into the goat pen (a large, green field) and practice yoga there. In hotter weather, we practice in a separate area next to the barn (fenced in, concrete floor, roof overhead) and it's much cooler there."

Q: "Is there a bathroom on site?"
A: "Yes. We have a full bathroom in the barn."

Q: "What type of clothing should I wear? What about my hair?"
A: "Wear something comfortable and put your hair up or in a hat. The goats love to climb on you and nimble on your hair."

Q: "Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?"
A: "Yes, all tickets must be purchased in advance. All tickets links are listed on FB page under the EVENTS section. Please bring a printed ticket or have your mobile ticket ready when you arrive."

Q: "Are these tickets refundable?"
A: "No. Like any other event you purchase a ticket for, if you can't attend, just sell them to someone else. We only ask that you tell us the name(s) of the ones who you sell the tickets to so we know who's coming."

Q: "I (or my kids) don't want to do the yoga, I (we) just want to hang out with the goats. Can I (we) come for free?"
A: "No. Each person who attends this event MUST purchase a ticket.

Q: "Do I need to sign a waiver?"
A: "Yes. When you arrive, you will need to sign the waiver we provide to participate. No exceptions."

Q: "Where do I park?"
A: "When you arrive, you will be greeted and told exactly where to park. PLEASE respect that these events are held on our private property which means you should drive slowly, carefully and park only where you are told."

Q: "Are the goats clean?"
A: "Yes. We spoil our babies! They are very well cared for and their demeanor shows it. They are happy and healthy!"

Q: "Can I take photos during the event?"
A: "Absolutely! We love when people take photos! We will also be taking photos during the event to post on our FB and Instagram pages. We only ask that any photos you post be tagged with the business name (FB: Stay Centered Yoga, LLC) and (Instagram: staycenteredyoga)

Q: “Can a bring a personal photographer?”
A: “Probably. Before you hire or ask a photographer friend to come along, please message us and ask if there is enough space. There are only a limited number of people allowed in with the goats. Also, your photographer MUST sign a waiver just like everyone else.”

If we missed anything or you don't understand our answers, please contact us directly.

Thank you and we hope to see you soon at one of our GOAT YOGA events!!!
